The Life of Shinke

Archive for October 2011

A couple of months ago I did a post on my ten favourite podcasts and topping that list was the hilarious weekly podcast Diggnation.

Unfortunately that podcast is coming to an end.

Kevin and Alex announced it in the podcast last week.

They state growing up, moving on to other projects and not having enough time to film the series as the reason for the popular show coming to an end.

But don’t cry yet! Just like Oprah they’re giving you time to grieve, get over it and help them go out with a bang!

They’ll have some meet-ups, some live shows and some surprises.

And even though I can’t believe the show is ending and I’m all torn up about losing one of my favourite shows, I can’t wait to see what they come up with to say goodbye.

Six and a half years, over 300 episodes of fun and laugher…it’s hard to let go but all good things must come to an end.

So we’ll say goodbye to Diggnation in December.

Are you a fan? Are you sad to see it go?

Are any of your favourite podcasts coming to an end?

Have you ever realized you have tons of music on your computer or iPod but you only listen to a select few?

No?

Maybe that’s just me, but I tend to have a couple of songs, usually the newer ones that I listen to over and over again.

I call this my happy music, it keeps me upbeat and in a good mood all day long.

This week those songs are:

1. Stereo Hearts – Gym Glass Heroes feat Adam Levine

2. Not Your Birthday – Allstar Weekend feat Anth!

3. Move Like Jagger – Maroon 5 feat Christina Aguilera

4. Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F) – Katy Perry

5. Love You Like A Love Song – Selena Gomez & the Scene

6. Middle of Nowhere –┬áSelena Gomez & the Scene

7. Bang Bang Bang –┬áSelena Gomez & the Scene

8. Hit the Lights –┬áSelena Gomez & the Scene

So which songs are helping you move your feet this week?

Let me know in the comments below.

Imagine if you woke up one morning and found a letter from your past self in your inbox?

It’d be pretty cool right?

A letter with all your hopes, fears, and expectations of the past.

A letter with motivation for your present self, and advice to get back on track with your life or keep it on track.

Something to help you get some perspective and remember what is important to you.

That’s something I’ve always wanted to experience so today I’m going to send myself a letter using FutureMe┬áand date it one year from now and see how it goes.

Would you send your future self a letter?

What would you say?

Let me know in the comments below.

Happy Writing! čÖé
