Happy Friday everyone!

It is time for my weekly series, “Best of the Week”. In this post I will share with you all the things I’ve been loving this week in the hopes of introducing you to something amazing.

So lets get started!

I was poking around YouTube as I often do when I found these two gems, Seth MacFarlane doing his Family Guy voices and Adam Levine singing Sesame Street in the voice of the late, great Michael Jackson among other things.

TV Shows/Movies

This week I’ve been watching Season 3 of Scandal and Season 1 of The Originals on Netflix to gear up for their premiere. However the big news in this category has got to be the fact that all seven seasons of Gilmore Girls is coming to Netflix. *cue the happy music*

This is one of my favorite series of all time and starting October 1st I will be able to binge watch to my heart’s content. Stars Hollow here I come!

I haven’t been listening to much music this week however the theme song for Outlander has been stuck in my head all week. It is such a beautiful song and very fitting for the series.

Unfortunately I haven’t been in much of a reading mood this week so there are no books to share.

What are you obsessing about this week?

Happy Friday! 🙂

Hey guys, it’s Friday!!!

Today I will be kicking off yet another new series for the blog, the “Best of the Week” series. Every Friday I will be sharing what I’ve been loving during the week. It’ll mostly consist of media; clips, songs, shows, etc however it won’t be limited to this at all.

So without further ado lets jump into the first list!

As per usual, YouTube takes up a lot of my time. I just get so lost in my subscription box and the recommended videos, it’s ridiculous. However my favorite video this week has been Superwoman‘s parent’s reaction to Nicki Minaj‘s music video for Anaconda. It is hilarious and a must see!

TV Shows/Movies

I haven’t been watching a lot of movies or TV shows this week however I am obsessed with the new series Outlander on Starz. It is so amazing and Jamie is so swoon worthy and his accent, his accent would bring girls to their knees. Below I have provided a fan video with a mash up of a lot of Claire and Jamie’s moments together.

I’ve found myself reverting to my teen self and so this week I was obsessed with N’sync’s last album, Celebrity. I’ve been listening to it over and over and just enjoying the fun upbeat songs, the break up songs and of course the beautiful ballads on the album. It makes me sad that they broke up.

Also I’ve been loving Michael Jackson’s songs Speechless and Heaven Can Wait. Those songs hit me right in the heart! Beautiful songs by a legendary singer.

Finally I’ve also been jamming out to songs from movies such as I Will Follow Him from Sister Act and Prince Ali from Aladdin.

For some reason all I’ve wanted to read this week is manga, lots and lots of manga. And not just any manga but romance based, school life, drama ridden manga, which as far as I’m concerned are the best ones.

The two I powered through this week are:

1. Asa Made Motto by Shin Yumachi

Synopsis: Mitsuru is gentle and kind, and he’s deeply in love with Aoi. Ryo, Mitsuru’s twin brother, is stoic and brutish and loves to tease and torment Aoi. The choice should be clear, so why does Aoi find herself so much more attracted to Ryo…?! (Taken from Manga Reader)

2. Gakuen Ouji by Jun Yuzuki

Synopsis: The stage is set in the prestigious Private Jyoushioka High School — or more commonly known as Joshi High. It became co-educational a few years ago, but females still heavily outnumber the males. The number of males could be easily counted. While one would think males would be pampered in such a harem school, the reality is far from being heavenly. It was the world of female domination. (Taken from Manga Reader)

Hey guys! It’s Friday!

Time for another LONG awaited lol, My Happy Playlist.

So this week I’ve been really into:

1. We Are Young – Fun feat. Janelle Monae

I first heard this song on Glee and I was like I know this song, I should know this song…but I didn’t know the song. Then YouTube was promoting it and I watched the video but I thought the video was so weird and not what I thought the video would be about at all. Finally I heard it on the radio and started singing along, it got stuck in my head and the rest is history.

2. Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You) – Kelly Clarkson

I first heard this song on a NOW That’s What I Call Music ad and I was singing along like I knew so, maybe that wasn’t the first time, or maybe it’s one of those one listen and you’re hooked songs. Either ways I loved it, I looked it up on YouTube and the video was so fun, I just had to have it. Makes me smile all the time. 🙂

3. Give Me Love – Ed Sheeran

I believe it played in the ball scene in Vampire Diaries, season 3 but I fell in love with it watching a fan video with the song. Then I fell in love with the lyrics. Oh, how I love hearing it, makes we want love indeed especially with all the Vampire Diaries hotties. Swooon! 🙂

4. Call Me, Maybe – Carly Rae Jepsen

Apparently this song is a hit and has been sweeping the nation by storm with endorsement from the Biebs himself but the first time I heard it was when Guy Ross interviewed her on NPR’s All Things Considered Weekends podcast. They played it in the background, she explained her inspiration, i.e. her boyfriend and I immediately went and looked it up on YouTube, it’s been a fav ever since, such a catchy song. The video is hilarious and twist at the end, lol. It’s gone so viral a bunch of celebs did parody videos on it, I like the one Selena, Justin, Ashley Tisdale and a bunch of their friends did, hilarious. 🙂

5. A Thousand Years – Christina Perri

I don’t even know where I heard this, probably one of my friends made me listen to it, but at any rate I love it, so slow and heart wrenching, makes me think. The video is….there, like she’s just walking slowly and singing, there really is nothing special about it. I’ve been told its in the Twilight movies, that won’t make me watch ’em but if that makes you want to listen to the song, all the better. 🙂

Well that’s what’s been helping me move my feet this week.

What about you, what are your favourite songs this week?

Happy listening! 🙂

Well today is actually Sunday but I was sick so I didn’t get around to writing this post.

This week I’ve been listening to quite a bit of Jay-Z, more specifically The Blueprint 3 album.

My top five Jay-Z songs this week, which are almost all collabs are:

1. D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune) – Jay-Z

2. Run This Town – Jay-Z feat Kanye West & Rihanna

3. Empire State of Mind – Jay-Z feat Alicia Keys

4. Off That – Jay-Z feat Drake

5. Izzo/In The End – Jay-Z/Linkin Park (Collision Course)

It is yet another Friday and it time to tell you what is helping me to move my feet and keep a smile on my face.

Last week I raved about Sara Bareilles but this week Disney has stolen my heart.

My happy playlist consists of two songs, Prince Ali from Aladdin and I’ll Make A Man Out Of You from Mulan.
